JOOLA Cares & ITTF Foundation Partner to Collect Equipment at WVC for a Good Cause
JOOLA Cares, a new initiative by JOOLA aimed at bringing social responsibility and the love of table tennis together, has partnered with the ITTF Foundation. In its inaugural project, JOOLA Cares will be collecting blades, rubbers and balls of any brand at the 2018 World Veterans Championships to be donated towards 2 good causes. Donations can be dropped off at the JOOLA salesbooth located inside the tournament hall at the Las Vas Convention Center. To donate any other table tennis equipment, such as tables and nets, please contact the initiatives directly.Solidarity Through Table TennisAfter years of working on resettling and integrating refugees in England, Brighton Table Tennis Club is working with local clubs in Greece and Italy to create table tennis programs to help ease the resettlement transition for refugees. This project is aimed at integrating them into local communities in Athens and Sicily. They are in need of table tennis equipment to get this initiative started!For more information, please contact Brighton Table Tennis Club through Facebook (@brightonttc)Dream Building in El SalvadorIn 2011, the National Federation of El Salvador implemented a project using table tennis to prevent children and youth from gang engagement with a special focus at-risk kids who lack access to the sport. The project started in 11 communities and has grown over the years to 18 communities. Between 1,300 and 1,600 children and youth are involved.
