Just 24 hours before Airbnb teamed up with A24 and Timothee Chalamet to host one of the coolest ping pong events of 2025, nobody even knew the venue location. Shrouded in secrecy, the invitation only amateur table tennis event had New York players and influencers alike on the edge of their seats. 

The final run up to the Christmas Day release of the highly anticipated Marty Supreme film featured many small popup table tennis events, but this one was about to surpass them all. 

48 players went head to head in a hazy and crowded Aula venue in Nolita, New York. Played on custom made bottle green tables in true retro style, and with a classic orange JOOLA ball, the event had all the markings of a Marty style ping pong parlor. 

The competition was cut-throat, one single game to 11 and zero mercy. Everyone wanted to advance and take the crown. 

Josh Safdie and Odessa A'zion had arrived already, but everyone was waiting for the infamous host. Marty Mauser. 

As the semifinals were reached, the signature mysterious Marty Supreme figures appeared on the mezzanine with their three star ball helmet heads - a signal of a grand arrival. 

Moments later the spotlight shone brightly up to the second floor and landed upon the host and star of the evening. Timothee Chalamet aka Marty Mauser. Cheers rang out around the venue, appreciation for the hype this man has brought to an often under-appreciated sport.

Within minutes Chalamet himself was down in the final court, in awe of the close-up action. 

After a series of intense exchanges, battled out with a crowd of spectators bordering the court, a champion was crowned. 

Kevin Lewis lifted the trophy and walked away with one of the most highly sought after pieces of fashion apparel on the market, a Marty Supreme x Nahmias jacket. 

The event was another excellent notch in the cap of one of the most epic film marketing campaigns in history. Kudos to Airbnb and A24.
