MLTT Dominates 2025 JOOLA Teams Final
The top seeds triumphed in style at the 2025 JOOLA North American Team Championships, in a 3-0 team final over MDTTC. The trio of Benedek Olah, Hiromitsu Kasahara and Koyo Kanamitsu represented Major League Table Tennis in the final sweep over a team of young junior players from Maryland.
MDTTC had wowed spectators overcoming Team Gewo, the 2nd seeds, in the semifinal in a stellar 3 match victory. Ryan Lin, Stanley Hsu and Mu Du gave it their all in the final, producing some exceptional play and some high level skill, but the professionals from MLTT held control throughout.
From Koyo and Kasahara's high octane pace, to Olah's absurdly powerful backhand, the MLTT team displayed table tennis at its finest, leaving their young opponents to continuously try and raise the bar. Some close games ensued with the MDTTC players giving a fearless and unintimidated effort, but ultimately MLTT were too strong an opponent. Alongside teammates Ping Cang Chen and Roger Kang, they lifted the trophy, having overcome the field of 203 teams present at the Gaylord National Convention and Hotel.
Team Final Results:
Koyo Kanamitsu 3-0 Ryan Lin
Hiromitsu Kasahara 3-0 Stanley Hsu
Benedek Olah 3-0 Mu Du
