JOOLA Hunt Official Rules

Last updated: October 23, 2026

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

THIS PROMOTION IS OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA WHO ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE OR THE AGE OF MAJORITY IN THEIR JURISDICTION OF RESIDENCE, WHICHEVER IS OLDER, AT THE TIME OF ENTRY. VOID OUTSIDE THE 50 UNITED STATES AND THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AND WHERE PROHIBITED.

THESE RULES CONTAIN A BINDING ARBITRATION AGREEMENT AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER THAT AFFECT YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY.

1. Overview

The JOOLA Hunt (the “Hunt” or “Promotion”) is a timed, riddle-based scavenger hunt on joola.com. It has two parts with different ways of winning:

  • Daily Speed Contest (game of skill): In each daily Round, the 10 eligible players with the fastest valid Final Times win a Speed Prize. Speed Prize winners are determined solely by skill (speed and accuracy in solving the riddles), not by chance.
  • Grand Prize Sweepstakes (game of chance): Each completed Hunt earns a Sweepstakes entry (maximum of one earned entry per day). Five Grand Prize winners will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries.

By taking part, you agree to these Official Rules (these “Rules”) and to the decisions of JOOLA, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Promotion.

2. Sponsor

The Promotion is sponsored by Sport Squad, Inc., which does business as JOOLA, 915 Meeting Street, Suite 1300, North Bethesda, Maryland 20852 (the “Sponsor,” “JOOLA,” “we,” or “us”).

3. Eligibility

The Promotion is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older, at the time of entry. Employees and non-employee workers (e.g., consultants and contractors) of the Sponsor, and of each of its parent companies, affiliated entities, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion and internet agencies, sponsored athletes, suppliers and any other companies engaged in the development, administration, production, fulfillment or distribution of materials for this Promotion, and the immediate families and individuals living in the same households, whether related or not, of each of the above, are not eligible to enter or win a prize. The Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and is void outside the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and where prohibited or restricted by law.

4. Promotion Period and Rounds

The Promotion begins at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on October 24, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on October 31, 2026 (the “Promotion Period”), a total of 8 days. The Sponsor’s server is the official timekeeping device for all purposes of the Promotion.

The Promotion Period is divided into eight daily rounds (each, a “Round”). Each Round begins at 12:00:00 a.m. ET and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on the same calendar day. A Hunt started before the end of a Round may be completed within a grace period of 10 minutes after the Round ends and will count for that Round. Hunts not completed within the grace period are void.

5. How to Play and Enter

During the Promotion Period, visit joola.com and click the JOOLA Hunt banner or pop-up. Then:

  • Register: Provide a valid email address and accept these Rules. Signing up for JOOLA marketing emails is optional and is not required to play or win.
  • Start the timer: Your time starts when the first riddle is displayed.
  • Solve the riddles: Each of the three riddles points to a page on joola.com where a JOOLA Hunt icon is hidden. Click the icon to collect it and reveal the next riddle.
  • Tips: One optional tip is available for each riddle. Each tip used adds a 10-second penalty to your time.
  • Finish: Your Hunt is complete when you have collected all three icons. Your elapsed time from the display of the first riddle to the collection of the final icon, as recorded by the Sponsor’s server, plus any tip penalties, is your “Final Time.” Only a completed Hunt with a recorded Final Time counts as a “Completed Hunt.”

Riddles and icon locations are drawn from a rotating set and may differ between Hunts and Rounds.

6. Limits on Play and Entries

  • Speed Contest: You may play more than once per Round, but only your single fastest valid Final Time in each Round counts toward the Speed Contest ranking for that Round.
  • Sweepstakes: Each Completed Hunt earns one Sweepstakes entry, up to a maximum of one Sweepstakes entry per person per Round.
  • One identity: You may participate only under one email address and one registration. You may not use multiple email addresses, identities, accounts or devices to obtain additional plays, entries, or prizes, or to get around these Rules. If a dispute arises about who made an entry, the entry will be treated as made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at registration.

Any attempt to exceed these limits may result in disqualification of the entrant and of all of that entrant’s plays, entries and prizes.

7. Fair Play and Disqualification

The Sponsor may disqualify any person, and void any play, entry, or prize, if the Sponsor determines in its sole discretion the person has:

  • used any robot, script, macro, automated or programmed method, or any other device or software to play, enter, or affect timing;
  • shared, posted, sold, or obtained riddle answers, icon locations or other Hunt solutions, or colluded with others;
  • tampered with, or attempted to tamper with, the Hunt, the timer, the leaderboard or joola.com, or otherwise interfered with the proper operation of the Promotion;
  • provided false registration information or violated Section 6; or
  • acted in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.

Any Final Time under 45 seconds is void. The Sponsor will review the runs of potential winners before confirming any prize and may void any run it considers suspicious.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE PROMOTION MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS. THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

8. Daily Speed Contest: Winner Determination

At the end of each Round (including the grace period), all valid Completed Hunts for that Round are ranked from the fastest to the slowest Final Time, using each player’s single fastest valid Final Time. Subject to verification and to Sections 6, 7 and 12, the 10 eligible players with the fastest valid Final Times in that Round are the potential Speed Prize winners for that Round. Ties are broken in favor of the player whose Completed Hunt was finished earliest in the day, as recorded by the Sponsor’s server. If still tied, the tie is broken in favor of the player who registered first.

If fewer than 10 eligible players complete valid Hunts in a Round, only that number of Speed Prizes will be awarded for that Round. The odds of winning a Speed Prize depend on each entrant’s skill and on the number and performance of other eligible players in that Round.

Any leaderboard displayed during the Promotion is unofficial and for entertainment only. Winners are not confirmed until the Sponsor has completed its verification.

9. Grand Prize Sweepstakes: Random Drawing

On or about November 3, 2026, the Sponsor will select five potential Grand Prize winners, and five alternates in ranked order, in a random drawing from all eligible Sweepstakes entries received during the Promotion Period. The drawing will be conducted using a documented random selection method and witnessed by at least two Sponsor employees. The odds of winning a Grand Prize depend on the number of eligible Sweepstakes entries received.

10. Prize Limits

  • Each person may win no more than one Grand Prize.
  • Winning a Speed Prize does not affect eligibility to win a Grand Prize.

11. Prizes

Prize Number available Approximate retail value (ARV)
Daily 1st place Speed Prize: One JOOLA accessory selected by the Sponsor (e.g., eyewear, balls, grips, overgrips, hat, towel, or bag) 1 per Round; up to 8 in total Up to $30 each
Daily 2nd to 10th (if applicable) place Speed Prizes: One JOOLA accessory selected by the Sponsor (e.g., balls, grips, overgrips, bucket hat, towel, or bag) 9 per Round; up to 72 in total Approximately $20 each
Grand Prizes: One JOOLA Power FX paddle (model, thickness and colorway selected by the Sponsor) 5 $179.95 each

Total ARV of all prizes: up to $2,579.75 (Speed Prizes up to $1,680; Grand Prizes $899.75).

Prizes consist only of the items specifically listed. Actual retail value may vary; any difference between the stated and actual value will not be awarded. No cash or other alternative, substitution, or transfer of a prize is permitted, except the Sponsor may substitute a prize (or any part of a prize) of equal or greater value if the advertised prize is unavailable. Prizes will be shipped only to addresses in the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, within approximately two weeks after the winner is verified. All federal, state, and local taxes on any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 to any winner whose prizes from the Sponsor total $600 or more in a calendar year. All prizes will be awarded, subject to the receipt of enough eligible entries and Completed Hunts, verification of eligibility, and compliance with these Rules.

12. Winner Notification and Verification

Speed Prize winners will be notified by email, at the address used to register, within 48 hours after the end of the applicable Round.

Grand Prize winners will be notified by email, at the address used to register, on or about November 3, 2026.

Each potential winner must reply by email with all required information, including a U.S. shipping address and date of birth to confirm they were at least 18 years old (or, if older, the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence) at the time of entry, within seven days after the notification is sent. Grand Prize winners may be required to sign and return a declaration of eligibility and liability and publicity release within that period, where lawful.

If a potential winner does not respond within the time allowed, cannot be reached, is found ineligible, does not comply with these Rules, or if a prize or notification is returned as undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited. In that case: (a) for a Speed Prize, no additional prizes will be awarded; and (b) for a Grand Prize, the prize will be awarded to the next alternate in order. The Sponsor is not responsible for notifications missed because of spam, junk email, security settings, or undelivered email, or because an entrant provided incorrect or non-functioning contact information.

13. Publicity and Leaderboard Display

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes the winner’s consent for the Sponsor and its designees to use the winner’s first name, last initial, city and state of residence, and prize won, for advertising, promotion and winner announcements in any media now known or later developed, without further compensation, notice or approval.

14. Release and Limitation of Liability

By entering, entrants release, discharge and hold harmless the Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, affiliated entities, subsidiaries, owners, directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, sponsored athletes, representatives, attorneys and agents (together, the “Promotion Parties”) from and against any claim, liability, loss, damage or expense arising out of or in connection with participation in the Promotion or the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize, except to the extent caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of a Promotion Party, or as cannot be released or limited under applicable law.

The Promotion Parties are not responsible for: late, lost, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected registrations, plays or entries; incorrect timing or failures to record times caused by an entrant’s device, browser, internet connection or network latency; technical, hardware or software malfunctions, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incorrect, inaccurate, incomplete, garbled or delayed electronic communications, whether caused by the entrant, a third party, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or used in the Promotion; any human error in the processing of plays, entries, or prizes; or any typographical, technological or other error in the publishing of the offer, administration of the Promotion or announcement of prizes.

If, in the Sponsor’s sole discretion, any such error, suspected tampering or technical difficulty (including viruses and bugs) compromises the integrity of a Round, the Sponsor may void that Round and award its Speed Prizes from the valid Completed Hunts received before the problem occurred, or rerun the Round. If the problem affects the Promotion as a whole, the Sponsor may cancel, modify or suspend the Promotion and award prizes from among eligible entries and Completed Hunts received before the action was taken.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

*Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, each entrant understands and agrees that all rights under Section 1542 of the Civil Code of California and any similar law of any state or territory of the United States are expressly waived by the entrant against the Promotion Parties.* Section 1542 reads as follows: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.”

15. Disputes, Class Action Waiver, and Governing Law

Entrant agrees: (a) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Promotion or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) there is no right or authority for any dispute to be brought, heard or arbitrated as a class, collective or representative action (the “Class Action Waiver”). Notwithstanding any other provision of these Rules, any claim that all or part of the Class Action Waiver is invalid, unenforceable, unconscionable, revocable, void or voidable must be heard exclusively by the United States District Court for the District of Maryland or the state courts located in Montgomery County, Maryland, and not by an arbitrator. If the Class Action Waiver is found unenforceable as to any claim or request for relief, that claim or request (and only that claim or request) will be severed and decided by one of those courts, after any individual claims have been arbitrated, and the rest of the Arbitration Agreement in Section 16 will remain in effect.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred (including costs associated with entering the Promotion), and in no event to attorneys’ fees, except where an award of attorneys’ fees is required by the AAA Rules (defined below) or by applicable law that cannot be waived.

All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and the Sponsor in connection with the Promotion, are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules that would cause the application of the laws of any other jurisdiction. Section 16 is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.

16. Binding Arbitration Agreement

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY AS IT AFFECTS YOUR RIGHTS.

(a) Agreement to arbitrate – This Section 16 is the “Arbitration Agreement.” Except for a claim about the Class Action Waiver described in Section 15, you and the Sponsor agree any and all disputes or claims between you and the Sponsor arising out of or relating to these Rules, the Promotion, your participation in the Promotion, any prize, the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize, any advertising, or any aspect of the relationship between us arising out of the Promotion, shall be resolved exclusively through final and binding arbitration rather than in court, except either party may assert individual claims in small claims court if the claims qualify. This Arbitration Agreement does not prevent you from bringing issues to the attention of federal, state or local agencies, which can, if the law allows, seek relief against us on your behalf. By participating in the Promotion, you waive the right to a trial by jury and to participate in a class action. Your rights will be determined by a neutral arbitrator, not a judge or jury.

(b) Individual claims only – YOU AND THE SPONSOR AGREE EACH OF US MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION OR PROCEEDING. UNLESS BOTH YOU AND THE SPONSOR AGREE OTHERWISE IN WRITING, THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE OR JOIN MORE THAN ONE PERSON’S OR PARTY’S CLAIMS, AND MAY NOT OTHERWISE PRESIDE OVER ANY FORM OF CONSOLIDATED, REPRESENTATIVE OR CLASS PROCEEDING. THE ARBITRATOR MAY AWARD RELIEF (INCLUDING MONETARY, INJUNCTIVE AND DECLARATORY RELIEF) ONLY IN FAVOR OF THE INDIVIDUAL PARTY SEEKING RELIEF AND ONLY TO THE EXTENT NECESSARY TO PROVIDE RELIEF FOR THAT PARTY’S INDIVIDUAL CLAIM(S).

(c) Notice of dispute – Many concerns can be resolved quickly by emailing the Sponsor at support@joola.com. If that does not resolve the matter, a party who intends to seek arbitration must first send the other a written Notice of Dispute (“Notice”) by certified mail. The Notice to the Sponsor should be sent to Sport Squad, Inc. d/b/a JOOLA, 915 Meeting Street, Suite 1300, North Bethesda, Maryland 20852, Attention: Legal Department. The Notice must (i) describe the nature and basis of the claim or dispute and (ii) set out the specific relief sought. If the parties do not resolve the claim within 60 calendar days after the Notice is received, either party may begin arbitration. The amount of any settlement offer made by either party may not be disclosed to the arbitrator until after the arbitrator determines the amount, if any, to which a party is entitled.

(d) Rules and administrator – Arbitration will be conducted by a single neutral arbitrator under the American Arbitration Association (“AAA”) Consumer Arbitration Rules (the “AAA Rules”), as modified by this Arbitration Agreement. Information about the AAA and the AAA Rules is available at www.adr.org. If the AAA is unwilling or unable to administer the arbitration, either party may elect to have it administered by JAMS or another mutually agreeable arbitration provider under that provider’s consumer arbitration rules. If there is any inconsistency between the AAA Rules and this Arbitration Agreement, this Arbitration Agreement controls unless the arbitrator determines that applying it would not result in a fundamentally fair arbitration. Except for claims about the Class Action Waiver described in Section 15, the arbitrator decides all issues, including the scope, enforceability and arbitrability of this Arbitration Agreement. The arbitrator can award, on an individual basis, the same damages and relief that a court could award, subject to these Rules. Decisions by the arbitrator are enforceable in court and may be overturned by a court only for very limited reasons.

(e) Location – Any in-person arbitration hearing will take place in the county where you reside or in Montgomery County, Maryland, at your choice. If your claim is for $10,000 or less, you may choose whether the arbitration is conducted solely on the basis of documents submitted to the arbitrator, by telephone or video hearing, or by an in-person hearing as established by the AAA Rules. If your claim exceeds $10,000, the right to a hearing will be determined by the AAA Rules.

(f) Fees – Payment of all filing, administration and arbitrator fees, and any award of attorneys’ fees, will be governed by the AAA Rules and applicable law.

(g) Confidentiality – All aspects of the arbitration proceeding, and any ruling, decision or award by the arbitrator, will be strictly confidential for the benefit of all parties, except as needed to enforce an award or as required by law.

(h) Severability – If a court or the arbitrator decides that any term of this Arbitration Agreement is invalid or unenforceable, that term will be replaced with a valid and enforceable term that comes closest to expressing its intent, and this Arbitration Agreement will be enforced as so modified. Any finding that the Class Action Waiver or clause (b) is unenforceable is handled under Section 15. The remainder of these Rules will continue to apply.

17. Privacy

The Sponsor collects your name, email address, state of residence, age confirmation and gameplay data (including Round, start, icon and finish timestamps, tips used and Final Times) to run the Promotion, verify eligibility, prevent fraud, and notify winners and deliver prizes. If you opt in, your email address will also be used to send you JOOLA marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from at any time. All information submitted is subject to the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy at https://joola.com/pages/privacy-policy.

18. Social Media

The Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook, Meta Platforms, Inc. or any other social media platform.

19. General

The Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Rules is not a waiver of that term. If any provision of these Rules is held invalid or unenforceable (other than as provided in Sections 15 and 16), the other provisions remain in effect. Headings are for convenience only. If there is any conflict between these Rules and any advertising or other Promotion materials, including the “How to Play” guide, these Rules control.

20. Winners List
