COLLABORATING with a MUSICAL ICON

Legendary DJ Steve Aoki is a Grammy nominated, award winning DJ, who holds the Guiness World Record for performing 161 shows in 41 different countries in a single year!

Beyond his musical accolades, Aoki has established himself as an entrepreneurial figure in many areas of passion.  He has made a significant impact in the comic and collectibles industry, spearheaded by his very own HiROQUEST Manga.

Even with a packed calendar, Steve still finds time to explore  his passion  of the sports of table tennis and pickleball. An avid table tennis player, he's drawn to the sport's well-documented links to sharper cognitive function and brain health — a natural fit for his fascination with the human mind and body.

All of this sets the stage for one of JOOLA’s most exciting collaborative projects to date, the JOOLA x STEVE AOKI HiROQUEST Table Tennis and Pickleball collection.

JOOLA and the AOKI FOUNDATION

JOOLA firmly believes in the power of table tennis and pickleball to have positive impacts on the human brain. Table Tennis has frequently been used in rehabilitative programs for Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s patients across the globe. The AOKI Foundation was an important factor in bringing the world's of brain health, Steve, and our sports together.

The ability of racket sports like table tennis and pickleball to activate many parts of the brain simultaneously and forge new neural pathways has led neuroscientists to believe that these sports can extend human life and slow cognitive decline.

“We worked with many charitable organizations and events over the years throughout the long history of our table tennis business, and partnering with the Aoki Foundation was something we were excited to invest in, from the Aoki Games and Gala, to the more recent Aoki Pickleball Tournament.” - Matt Hetherington, JOOLA Global.

As part of our ongoing efforts to support the Aoki Foundation, JOOLA will be donating product from the collaboration for auction at the 2026 Aoki Games and Gala, to help raise funds for more great research and causes.
