The PPA Tour Asia rolled into Shenzhen this week for one of the season's marquee stops, and our players made sure JOOLA was all over the podium. Three golds, a historic first for Vietnamese pickleball, and six quarterfinal runs made it one of the best weeks we've had on tour this season. Here's the full recap.

Collin Johns & Len Yang Take Men's Doubles Gold

Collin Johns and Len Yang capped their run in Shenzhen with a straight-games win over Jack Wong and Eungwon Kim, 11-7, 11-8, to claim the Men's Doubles title. The top-seeded Wong and Kim pairing had only broken through to the semifinals the day before, and Johns and Yang made sure that momentum stopped short of gold.

For Yang, it's another statement result in a breakout season that has already produced titles across the US and Asia, and it keeps his case as one of the region's most in-form doubles players firmly on the table.

Zoey Wang Wins Women's Singles

Zoey Wang (Chao Yi Wang) went back-to-back-set clean in the Women's Singles final, defeating Rika Fujiwara 11-4, 11-8. It's a meaningful title for Wang, who has come close in previous events on Chinese soil without quite closing the deal. This time, she did not leave it in doubt.

Ken Ho Tam Wins Women's Doubles

In Women's Doubles, our Ken Ho Tam teamed up with partner Sophia Nhi Huynh for a three-game battle against Kong Lingwei and Selina Turulja, winning 11-9, 3-11, 11-6. The pair dropped the middle game but regrouped to close it out in the decider, delivering the first Women's Doubles gold for Vietnamese players on the PPA Tour Asia. A great result for Ken, and a milestone worth celebrating for the sport in the region.

Deep Runs Across the Draw

Beyond the golds, it was a strong week across the board for our roster in Shenzhen:

• Ken Ho Tam also reached the quarterfinals in Women's Singles, adding to her doubles title with a solid singles showing.
• Julian Chow reached the Men's Doubles quarterfinals alongside partner Easton Horricks.
• Lucas Pascoe made the Men's Doubles quarterfinals with partner Nasa Hatakeyama.
• Aiko Yoshitomi advanced to the Women's Doubles quarterfinals with partner Elsie Hendershot.
• Tya Karina reached the quarterfinals in Women's Doubles with partner Sophia Anh Tran.
• In Mixed Doubles, both Zoey Wang & Len Yang and Aiko Yoshitomi & Lucas Pascoe made the quarterfinals, giving us representation across four of the five discipline draws.

A Strong Week for the Region

Three golds and six additional quarterfinal appearances make Shenzhen one of the best weeks we've had on the PPA Tour Asia this season. Congratulations to Collin, Len, Zoey, Ken, Julian, Lucas and Aiko on a fantastic tournament, and thanks to their partners Easton, Nasa, Elsie and Tya for some great runs together. We're proud of the depth our players showed across singles, doubles and mixed play this week, and we're looking forward to seeing what's next on tour.
