JOOLA Reimagines Paddle Innovation with New Pro V Collection

JOOLA Reimagines Paddle Innovation with New Pro V Collection

Top Paddle brand launches latest campaign: Energy Unlocked to introduce KineticFrame, an all-new hybrid paddle shape, and their innovative athlete-driven designs

North Bethesda, MD (03/03/26)In a continued effort to grow the game of pickleball through meaningful paddle innovation, JOOLA announces the release of the full Pro V pickleball paddle collection, JOOLA’s most comprehensive and performance-driven offerings to date.

“Pro V represents the next step in how we think beyond paddle performance innovation,” said Richard Lee, CEO and Owner of JOOLA. “As the game continues to evolve, our responsibility is to innovate in ways that improve not just the paddle but the quality of the sport. Our patent-pending, KineticFrame technology in the Pro V does just that by not abandoning, but rather building on, the best performing technology in the game.”

The Pro V lineup marks the return of JOOLA’s most trusted and recognizable paddle shapes, including the Perseus, Scorpeus, Hyperion, and Agassi. Headlining the collection is an all-new hybrid shape, the Kosmos, designed to meet the demands of today’s faster, more versatile game.

The Kosmos blends the reach and stability of the Perseus with the maneuverability and hand-speed of the Scorpeus, creating a balanced option for players who want to drive from the baseline, counter effectively at the kitchen, and transition smoothly into controlled net play.

“If the Perseus and the Scorpeus had a baby, and that baby was a 2.0 version, and that baby was on steroids, that would be this little puppy [Kosmos],” said JOOLA Signature Athlete, Tyson McGuffin.

McGuffin will make the switch from his Magnus paddle to the Kosmos 14mm. At the same time, the Pro V launch also marks a major milestone for pro Federico Staksrud, who, since returning in 2025, has worked closely with JOOLA to develop his first-ever signature paddle, the Kosmos 16mm.

“I like the Scorpeus for doubles, and the Perseus for singles,” said Staksrud. “And I need to perform well in both. I think the Kosmos shape basically sums up everything I need when it comes to the power for the drives, but also the versatility and hand-speed for doubles.”

In addition, Simone Jardim will be transitioning her signature paddle from the Hyperion to the Perseus. For the first time, the Simone Perseus Pro V (16mm) will be available with a 4.125-inch grip circumference, offering players with smaller hands a chance to experience one of JOOLA’s most popular shapes.

The Pro V signature paddle lineup also includes the Ben Johns Perseus Pro V (14mm and 16mm) and the Ben Johns Hyperion Pro V (16mm), alongside the Anna Bright Scorpeus Pro V (14mm and 16mm), both offered with a 4.125-inch grip circumference. The Collin Johns Scorpeus Pro V (16mm) is also part of the collection, available with JOOLA’s standard grip size.

“The Scorpeus Pro V just feels built for how I play doubles. It has a low swing rate and high twist rate, so I can be quick in firefights, switch seamlessly between forehand and backhand, and still feel stable even on mishits. That balance gives me the confidence to stay aggressive, read the play, and execute in big moments,” raved JOOLA signature athlete Anna Bright.

Completing the Pro V collection are the paddles inspired by the tennis legends who share their names: the Agassi Pro V (14mm and 16mm) and the Graf Pro V (16mm), available with the 4.125-inch grip circumference.

Energy Unlocked
Building on the success of JOOLA’s patented Propulsion Core and TechFlex technology, the Pro V features our engineers' newest structural innovation, the patent-pending KineticFrame.

“Moving from Pro IV to Pro V, our focus was on redesigning the structure at the throat of the paddle to introduce more flexibility, but in a way that stayed controlled and intentional,” commented Austin Kim, JOOLA’s Head of Pickleball Product, “It's not just about how much it flexes, but how it flexes and how it returns to the original state. The goal was to achieve a flexibility that enhances feel, spin, stability, and precision without sacrificing power for the player.”

Inspired by kick-points engineering found in hockey sticks and golf clubs, the KineticFrame, located at the throat of the paddle, flexes upon ball contact before returning to its original shape. By storing momentum, the paddle can release energy more efficiently, supporting both aggressive offensive swings and composed defensive play.

“When developing KineticFrame, we looked beyond pickleball to sports that had already mastered energy transfer through kick-point technology, particularly golf and hockey, said Fabio Kachiwazaki, Head of R&D at JOOLA, “Studying how those sports engineered flex and stored energy inspired us to create a system that loads and releases momentum efficiently, translating and adapting that same principle into a paddle design tailored for modern pickleball.”

The result is a paddle that responds intuitively to the pace of the game, whether players are generating their own power or absorbing and redirecting their opponent’s shots, further reinforcing JOOLA’s focus on innovation that enhances real-world performance.

At its core, Pro V is about efficiency, not excess. Built to work with the player, not overpower them, each paddle is designed to capture, refine, and return the energy generated on every swing. Unlock the energy of the entire Pro V paddle collection. Now available for purchase at www.joola.com or at your authorized JOOLA retailer.
