JOOLA is seeking a Senior Social Media Manager/Social Lead who will lead the strategic planning, execution, and management of JOOLA’s social media presence across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and channels. The role is pivotal in driving brand awareness, engagement, and growth through innovative and compelling social media strategies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in brand social media management, creative planning, and content production. 

 

JOOLA was first established in 1952 and built a global reputation as a pioneer in table tennis. In 2022, JOOLA expanded into the rapidly growing pickleball scene and quickly attracted the biggest names in the sport. As an official table tennis sponsor for three Summer Olympic Games and the official sponsor of pickleball's top athletes and the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA), the team at JOOLA combines its storied expertise with fresh perspectives to bring innovation to both sports. JOOLA creates a variety of equipment, apparel, and accessories for both table tennis and pickleball players, professional and recreational. With offices in US, Germany, Brazil, and China, JOOLA has a global presence and wide distributor network. 

 

Location: Rockville, MD In-office 

 

Reports to: Sr. Director of Branding and Content 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies that align with overall brand objectives. 
  • Lead the creation, curation, and management of high-quality, engaging content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other relevant platforms. 
  • Oversee the social media editorial strategy, ensuring a consistent and cohesive brand voice and tone. 
  • Analyze social media performance metrics and provide actionable insights to optimize social media communications. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, design, content) to ensure integrated and effective social media campaigns. 
  • Stay updated on social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep the brand at the forefront of social innovation. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 7-10+ years of experience in social media management, with a strong focus on brand strategy and content production. 
  • Proven track record of growing and engaging social media audiences on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms. 
  • Strong creative vision and experience in developing innovative social media content. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
