Brisbane Pickleball Cup 2025

Brisbane Pickleball Cup 2025

The PPA Tour continued its electric run through Australia with a thrilling stop in Brisbane, and once again, Team JOOLA brought the heat. With a stacked field of Aussie standouts and rising talent, the Brisbane Pickleball Cup proved to be an all-out showcase of power, precision, and perseverance.

From intense gold medal battles to breakout performances and rematches loaded with tension, this weekend had it all.

Men’s Singles: Jack Wong Dominates the Draw

It was a banner weekend for JOOLA’s Hong Kit “Jack” Wong, who claimed the Men’s Singles Gold in commanding fashion. The top-seeded Jack took down #2 seed Mitchell Hargreaves 11-6, 11-7 in the final, cementing his place as the man to beat in Australian men’s pickleball.

Jack’s semifinal match was one for the books, outlasting Harrison Brown in a gritty three-set battle: 11-7, 6-11, 12-10. It was the kind of match that left the crowd breathless, and the players barely walking.

Women’s Singles: Andie Dikosavljevic Continues Her Reign

Fresh off her dominant win in New Zealand, Team JOOLA’s Andie Dikosavljevic added another title to her 2025 resume. In a blockbuster all-Queensland final, she edged out rising star Sahra Dennehy in three tight sets: 11-7, 9-11, 11-7.

Andie’s consistency and composure continue to set her apart, but Sahra’s performance proves she’s a force to watch on the Australian pro scene.

Men’s Doubles: Gold Coast Rematch Brings Revenge

The Gold Coast champs Joseph “Joey” Wild & George Wall returned the favor to Kim Eunggwon & Jack Wong, winning the rematch and the gold 11-7, 11-5. Both teams had to grind through three-set semifinals, showing serious depth and heart in the draw.

Kim & Jack Semi: 9-11, 11-0, 11-1
Joey & George Semi: 6-11, 11-2, 11-3

The rivalry between these two power pairings is heating up, and we can’t wait for the next chapter.

Women’s Doubles: Danni & Somer Steal the Show

Danni-Elle Townsend & Somer Dalla-Bona proved their pairing is one of the most dynamic on tour, taking down top seeds Roos Van Reek & Kaitlynn Hart with back-to-back 11-5 wins in the gold medal match.

Their semifinal was a tight three-setter, but they came into Championship Sunday dialed in and unstoppable.

Meanwhile, Andie Dikosavljevic & Sarah Burr dominated the bronze match 11-2, 11-6 over Talia Saunders & Sahra Dennehy. The lefty-righty combo is one to watch in upcoming tournaments.

Mixed Doubles: New Names, Familiar Champions

It was a shake-up in Mixed Doubles as reigning champs Danni-Elle Townsend & Joey Wild, now ranked #1, were upset in the quarterfinals by the eventual silver medalists.

But when the dust settled, it was Roos Van Reek & George Wall who claimed the gold yet again, proving that their Gold Coast win was no fluke. Their chemistry and consistency make them one of the most dangerous duos on the tour.

Team JOOLA: Taking Over Australia, One Cup at a Time

With gold medals in Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles, and podium finishes across nearly every division, Team JOOLA showed up strong in Brisbane. The energy is high, the competition is fierce, and the mission is clear: dominate Down Under.
