JOOLA Set to Retire Popular MOD TA-15 Paddle to Meet New Paddle Testing Standards
UPDATE: We understand your frustration. We’re working closely with the USAP on future paddles to ensure current testing standards are met, and we’re as up-to-date as possible on any new testing standard they decide to implement. When governing bodies implement new testing standards that aren’t already industry-wide, we cannot guarantee that our paddles will pass. Still, we’re doing everything we can to avoid this from happening again.
Original post:
In response to the USA Pickleball Association (USAP)'s official announcement regarding its new 2025 PB-CoR standards, JOOLA has made the decision to officially retire the MOD TA-15 Perseus as one of its competition paddles. Our mission at JOOLA is to develop and deliver innovative products that support the universal growth of pickleball. We remain committed to supporting our customers and the sport as we transition to meet the new standards.

Actually, I want a full refund ($379. CDN plus tax) – I bought mine October 10, 2024. My brand new, barely used paddle is now an embarrassment and I will no longer use it because I’m not a bully. These Mod 15 paddles only made their way into Canada at the beginning of October, 2024 following the previous ‘scandal’. The fact that these paddles became available made buyers believe that the paddles were in compliance and created false TRUST the Joola company. If I’m not fully refunded, no one in my family will ever buy another Joola product. However, if I am refunded, I may reconsider another purchase. You will tank your company if you don’t do the right thing. SO disappointed- feels like fraud. My contact information was required to submit this comment. please reach out to me for further conversation.

I would like to know if all buyers can join together in a class action lawsuit, so that our money is returned and there are regulations for companies like these that do not act in good faith.

Not standing behind a product expressly represented as your new legal paddle after the Gen3 failure is simply fraud.
Who knows a class action lawyer?

And why would the refund only be partial? And only for those who purchased after Nov. 2024? I don’t even know why proof of purchase is required. I have one so it was obviously purchased at some point! I didn’t steal it off a fence at the courts. I will be testing out new paddles but will try to avoid a Joola if I can as will tons of folks who bought this paddle with assurances that it was legal.

My paddle is almost new, and if it becomes unusable in the near future, I will not be using it any more. I would like the paddle to be replaced with the previous model, I’m not wealthy enough to replace my paddles frequently.
